The new USPS mail trucks are coming

Mail delivery vehicles are getting an upgrade. The U.S. Postal Service is testing out its next generation of delivery vehicles in Georgia.

It looks silly, but the more you think about it the more you see the reasoning. The very low front and low front window edges give fantastic visibility, making the vehicle great for pedestrian safety - there is almost nowhere that a child might be hidden from view of the driver.

Visibility on the new ones looks phenomal if not too much. Sun will be bliding in that thing. But hey it should be easy to park and manuever in tight spaces. We will see if they last 4 decades like the old ones. If they last 2 decades that would be pretty good. Amazon retires most of their vans after only 5 years.

So they took the idea from Japanese kei vehicles? I’m not knocking it just saying there’s a striking resemblance.
