Показать описание
Help your child expand their play with these 5 new ways to play with cars. Adding to your child's play will also help you engage your child in language and explore new play opportunities in fun ways.
Many of our kiddos like to line up cars. Let's help your child expand on their play by trying these 5 new ways to play with toy cars.
1. Make the car to go sleep - night, night cars!
2. Use boxes or lids to make a swimming pool - splash!
3. Add some kitchen items like a bowl and spoon and make car soup. Get creative with your ingredients and have fun! Be silly and give your child the opportunity to respond.
4. Have your cars to go the "movies" and use a book as the "movie" for the cars. Have your child talk about what's happening in the "movie". You can engage with your child using comments and questions within your play.
5. Add in some pretend play with food and feed your hungry cars! This is a great way to work on "who" questions and engage in pretend play with food.
This video is part of our MeBe Playing series on play skills and is presented by Nikki Rosner, MA, CCC-SLP, MeBe Clinical Director of Speech & Language Pathology.
