A very good video. In particular also concerning the crows, who maybe fly up from the field because of the shot of a pistol. If Vincent painted this on purpose, then this maybe proves he committed suicide and was not murdered. Suicide you forsee, you play with the thought to do it. Murder happens unexpected. You normally not know that it is going to happen. So if Vincent painted this painting with this additional thought, that a shot would sound the moment he ended his life and the crows would fly up from the field because of this sound, it was suicide and not murder. In the same time he would also know what would be the last thing he would see and hear in his life: the crows flying up from the field and their scratching sound while flying above the field. ~ Peter Sengers

My mate hung himself in some woods around the age of fifty. The police say they think he must have hidden the rope there before the fatal day. His wife said he was playing with their young baby and then said he was going for a walk. It would have taken him some twenty minutes. I often wonder what he was thinking as he walked to the woods. RIP Vincent and RIP Jim... you were both loved.

Extraordinary painting. But, if he was intent on killing himself why did write to his brother and express his desire to visit and share his views on art, life ?? It is strange to commit suicide by shooting oneself in the chest. Just odd.
