i have an old cosina 50mm manual lens .... this video was extremely helpful ...as i dont have to waste my time correcting the exposure in post process ...the camera does that by itself ...thankyou so much

Thanks for this video. After I get my new K-30 or -50, I am eager to use my manual 50mm and AF 18-200 lenses I've had for years.

You can also set the camera to "Catch-In-Focus" and AF.S,   then you just hold down the shutter button and turn the focus ring, when the subject comes into focus the camera will snap a picture.

Thanks a lot. The shutter was not working at all on the K5lls. I did this on the K10 also, although the shutter was firing on it..now it has metering too.

I frequently use my K-1 with a Pentax-A 50mm f1.7 m/f.
It particularly gives black and white shots an extra 'something' that my more modern 50mm lenses can't muster.
