The renegade row is an advanced row variation that combined the plank with the single arm dumbbell row for an exercise that challenges almost every muscle group in the body, particularly the upper back, shoulders, and core. In addition to building strength and stability in the upper body, renegade rows improve balance and coordination, and are a great functional exercise to include in your workout routine.

How To Do Renegade Rows
1. From kneeling, place two dumbbells or kettlebells shoulder width apart on the floor in front of you.
2. Gripping the weight with palms facing each other, adopt a high plank position so that your wrists, elbows, and shoulders are stacked, and your head, hips, and heels are in a line.
3. Engage your core and press down through your left arm while rowing the right dumbbell to your ribs, stopping when your upper arm is parallel with the ceiling.
4. Lower the dumbbell back beneath your shoulder and repeat on the other side.
