They way Stork grabs that stick and starts pumping his fist without missing a beat is priceless. One of the funniest parts of the entire movie.

The first time I saw this was in 1978 at the local theater. I was 17.
Now, 47 years later, this is still the funniest shit I've ever seen.

I like how they just keep marching till they bend the slides on their trombones.

It's a damn shame there's hardly a soul that knows about Doug kenney (stork). He created National Lampoons magazine; wrote Animal House and Caddyshack shortly before falling off a cliff. If he had lived we would've had about 15 more great movies to talk about.

What makes me laugh even harder is that Niedermeyer's ROTC is acting as security and yet they did nothing when the Deltas began sabotaging the parade. They were standing right there on the sides, looking at them 🤣

The late Doug Clark Kenney as the saboteur bandleader Stork. I first heard about him from this movie. I found out he had a very storied life. The problem? No one told that story. Not really.

I looked for some Intel on him and found it the first place I looked—Contemporary Authors. No where else was there anything on the SOB. His IMDb page just listed Animal House, Caddyshack and Between the lines. Not even his birth and death. So I put everything up there on him—really. It’s not just my bio. I added all the trivia, too. And a huge chunk of the Wikipedia info. Hey, someone had to tell the tale.

Writers Chris Miller and Doug Kenney at the beginning as Stork and Hardbar, giving each other the confirming nod signal.

My high school's marching band said this was their favorite part of the movie. 🤣

Kids, this is precisely what happens when you don't think for yourself and play "Follow The Leader" instead.

Watching the marching band getting trapped in a dead end alley is even hilarious 😂😂😂😂. Sad that Doug Kenney was gone too soon. Miss him.

0:27 The producers clearly forgot to get those three teenagers out of the shot. Their haircuts and outfits definitely aren't early 60s.

The marching band played the Washington Post March

There was no one funnier than Kenney, the first issues of Lampoon contain some of his greatest and funniest work. The Kenney bio pic with Will Forte was an awful botched missed opportunity, but the book it was based on wasn't and is highly recommended.

What was the name of the song that the parade marching band was playing in the background in this Animal House Marching Band Scenes YouTube video, Tien_Gouki? :)
