The NUX Sixty Five is based on the Vemuram Jan Ray, which is based on a Paul C. Timmy pedal.
The Caline Pure Sky is based on the Timmy pedal. The Tim V3 is the bigger brother of the Paul Cochran Timmy. We'll compare and contrast all three pedals and see how similar/different that they sound to each other.

Try stacking the NUX 65 with a blues driver in front of it. Works great!

I have a Tim v3 on my board. I really like it as a clean boost. It adds the right amount of chime and sparkle to the clean channel on my amp and adds some grit and menace to my distorted tones. The Pure Sky sounded really close to my ears as well.

Caline Pure Sky is a surprisingly good take on the Timmy or Tim in this case, Nux just doesn't seem to have any flavour of its own, to dark and sterile sounding. Good comparison video 👍🏼

Nux is darker and compressed, really dig the Tim v3, as with any Timmy. Always thought that cutting EQ was their secret sauce!

Treble at full, bass at 10 o'clock, gain at full, volume to taste..
Nux overdrive is a gem..
Try it..

Caline for the win. I love that pedal.
The NuX 65 sounds like it should be compared with the TC Electronic MojoMojo

Pure Sky is irreplacable on my board ; and exactly at this setting (gain at 9 o clock). It accentuates and boosts the clean sound ideally; especially when playing funk and similar.... Also, stacks so well before other dirt pedals, not so much after (I don't like how it changes the tone of other dirt pedals)
