Dental disease is not a minor problem to be ignored just because they are still eating wet food. Imagine being so painful that you effectively choose to die because the pain of eating is to great. Unfortunately, this is often the reaction I get in the consult room after making a recommendation that dental care is needed. Because their dog or cat is still eating, the issue is dismissed as unimportant.

Hello 👋👋 good buddy Dr Alex I remember a few years ago bigfoot quit eating hardly and I Saw him having trouble checking and came to find out he had a toothache he had a abscess on his canine tooth that had been broken off for years I took him immediately to my vet and she had to lance it he was happy after that have a good day buddy

Is there a way to send you the video of my cat who passed away 5 days after the Vet gave this horrific pain medicine to her…I think she fractured her leg in the back because for no reason she was starting to limp and be lethargic and having problems eating…The medicine they gave her made her healthy pink tongue go from pink to dark grey and then she started foaming at the mouth…The Vet thought she was 13 as the pain medicine instructions says only give to cats under the age of 13…My Mittens passed away due to this poisonous medication…I think jumped somewhere higher than usual and thought she could jump down and I think she injured herself…It happened last year a week before Easter when she started to limp in the back right leg…Is it true they decide to die when they do not feel well…She was hiding a lot more a month before and she was getting mini strokes which she was given cortisone to help for pain and heart

Any idea why kitten to 4 years old cats die from CKD at such a young age?
Just loss my Siamese at age 4 CKD.
Is dry food the cause if the cat won’t eat anything else but dry food?
