Απόστολος Ανδρέας Σεράι Καρυών Άθω Apostle Andrew Serai Karyes Athos

Βρίσκεται σε αποσταση 5 λεπτων με τα ποδια απ τις καρυες. Ονομαζεται δε Σεραι επειδη εκει ηταν το διοικητηριο του Αγα. Το κελι του Αποστολου Ανδρεα ανήκει στη Μονή Βατοπεδίου και ο ναος ειναι κτισμα του 1900 με διαστασεις 60 και πλατος 32 μετρα. Η αρχιτεκτονική του ειναι μπαροκ με μαρμάρινα γλυπτα ενω οι Αγιογραφιες δε θυμιζουν τιποτα το βυζαντινο.Ο Παντοκρατορας βρισκεται σε υψος 29 μετρων. Το 1824 κατεφτασε στη σκητη ο Ρωσος μοναχός Βησσαρίων που μετετρεψε τη σκητη σε κοινοβιακη κι που φτασε να αριθμει 800 μοναχους.Κατα την Οκτωβριανή Επανασταση η σκητη παρηκμασε. Διπλα απ τη Σκητη βρίσκεται η Αθωνιαδα Ακαδημια. Πανηγυρίζει η Σκητη στις 30 Νοεμβριου με το Παλαιο Ημερολογιο (13 Δεκεμβρίου με το Νέο Ημερολόγιο)

It is located 5 minutes walk from the caries. It is called Serai because that was the headquarters of Agas.The cell of Apostle Andrew belongs to the Vatopedi Monastery and the church is a building of 1900 with dimensions of 60 and a width of 32 meters. Its architecture is baroque with marble sculptures while the Hagiographies do not resemble anything Byzantine. The Pantocrator is located at a height of 29 meters. In 1824, the Russian monk Bessarion arrived on the scete, turning the Skete into a convent and reaching the number of 800 monks. During the October Revolution, the scete declined. Next to the Skete is the Athoniada Academy. The skete celebrates on November 30 with the Old Calendar (13 December with the new calendar)
