I apply a sixty-point scale for establishing credibility (ethos), under the categories of 1) author's ethos; 2) documentation of methodology including dates of publications; 3) Publisher; 4) Use of Facts and reasoning; 5) Documentation.

The video is thus both a lecture on critical method and a debunking of the Oxfraud site.

It awards 2/60 points to the Oxfraud website.

To see how I arrived at this grade, check out the video.

Thanks to Coppin State University for the Use of Blackboard Collaborate to record this video.

errata: for "Alexander," read "Vladimir" (slide 5); for "to" read "too" (slide 23).

This discussion is moderated. Insulting and abusive comments will be removed. If you want to insult me, go to Oxfraud.com or find the Oxfrauds on facebook or youtube.

Also, non-responsive emails that are hostile in tone will be deleted. I point out for the second time that I have invited representatives of Oxfraud to explain their methodology for using Wolfram. They have not done so.

Please think before you post and offer a substantive reply. For example, this is a place where Mike Leadbetter, Mike Gordon, and the other affiliates of Oxfraud.com might explain exactly how they applied the Wolfram math software to the problem of analyzing the de Vere Bible annotations (see link below).

I have only one problem or perhaps I should rephrase my sentence to read, your five questions should be answered WHEN EVALUATING ANY SOURCE, not just written sources. I'm a huge fan of yours and wish people used your Five Questions before watching YouTube videos, too.

Second, it's notable that the powerpoint seems focused on attacking the authors of the analysis (and the website where it's published) rather than actually responding to the analysis itself.

Apparently the reference to "Math Environment R" refers to this Wolfram suite of math software:

Excellent! One small quibble -- not terribly relevant to the substance of the presentation. Putin's first name is Vladimir. I look forward to future videos. Are you able to state anything publicly about the status / fate of the allusions book you discussed at the SOF conference a few years back?

Why would a proud Earl want to the write for the public stage?

The one calling himself ‘Etheburga’ is actually Mike Leadbetter, an unknown man of business, with no proven expertise in Shakespearean biography who runs Oxfraud.com. He calls himself ‘Ethelburga’ after the abbess in whose name the church at Lyminge, where he lives, is consecrated. His posts are strange.
