I think so many people overlooked this in ETH's first season. We scraped wins while playing really poorly and (somehow!) finished 3rd.

we literally make the game hard for our selfs by not taking every chance seriously Yesterday

It's really simple. Just keep playing the same squad/ selection rotation players and let them keep improving. Like 5-6 games in, actual good football is being played. Let them keep getting in rhythm and it'll come. There's no magical fix other than them getting more games in

As fans, we cant keep swinging from “we’re back” after a couple of wins, to “manager out” after a mediocre performance. Same applies to the players; one good or bad game is not enough to form any kind of analysis, especially at the beginning of the season when those players are still adjusting to a new team/country/language. Give it time. Back the team and the manager. Leave the criticism/praise until we know exactly what the outcome is.

We should’ve got Harry Kane in when we had the chance. Best striker in the world he should’ve been playing for the biggest club in England and then keep hojlund as a backup. It’s extremely difficult to find someone as elite as Kane and that puts up the numbers as him. Major blunder by the board by not bringing him in. Huge missed opportunity. Can you imagine where we would be right now if he joined us instead of Bayern.

Very generous review perfomance was unacceptable

That goal was ridiculously soft, Rashford had a chance to chop the full back down and just brushes off him, too soft, then Eriksen the same too soft, Martinez smartly pulls out as he's already on a yellow so right decision, leading to Maguire falling on his ass attempting some nonsense he's absolute pants (also still takes too many touches), then Ugarte steps in and makes a perfectly timed tackle. After that just a brainfart from Eriksen, but the ball should never have travelled that far in first place. Team needs to learn how to be more cynical and take yellow cards, pull of a shirt, bear hug, clip an ankle. Way too passive.

On the European front that one win in nine was at home against Copenhagen.

Winning is the ultimate measuring stick for United. I feel we're trying to show confidence but with too many flicks, tricks and a back heels. A much more simple pass would be the better option. In saying that, the simple things are the hardest things to do in football. I thought we were poor yesterday but a toe poke simple goal and a few dirty 1-0 wins and this team "could" get going. But it isn't easy.

Man united players should not really need tactics to beat FC twente lol and that reflects on how we conceded that Goal

Lose against Spurs, Porto and Villa, and the man’s gone. No coming back from that I’m afraid. After the Southampton and Barnsley win, I was under no illusions. If we couldn’t kick on and beat Palace and FC Twente, then we’re back to square one. And here we are.

We can’t expect everything all at once, . I’m really happy with the performances. Since Ten Hagg arrived we’ve been unable to keep the ball, last few games we have held possession well. I’m sure the goals will come in time👍

I'd be very careful not to talk down the performances this season. You're 100% right that UTD are not converting chances - but I'd argue that the team should be creating more. We are yet to see an "Opportunity to create goalscoring chances" statistic but it needs to come because it would be very useful. Last night UTD squandered "chances to make chances", though, it might be said, nothing like the amount Man City squandered v. AFC. UTD seem to me to have a signif higher "CTMC" number this season. Now: this is an excellent sign. And, obviously, is the fact that the team is creating more chances this season. In my judgment, the goals will increase, all other positives being equal. To simplify, the goals will come.

More might have been made of the defensive side of the UTD game this season. Last night they conceded just 7 shots, Do you know what last season's average per game is? I don't. But it was much higher than 7, no?

I've said many times that football fans are an effin' dim lot, where even folk with A levels and degrees fail to think straight (rationally) on a daily basis when it comes to the game. So please highlight the stratospheric boneheaded of any of them saying TH should be sacked. I'd councel SP to self-ban all chat about "TH under pressure" unless he goes 6 w/o a win or something.

A manager can change a lot and can have instant and massive improvement, we can’t give ETH a lot of excuses because of patience. Example, Unai with Villa, Barca with Flick, Leverkusen with Alonso….

Everyone is feeling if we sack ETH means we can’t go forward, we will find someone better as we have a good board now

It will click for ten hag and the boys. I do believe it. Multiple bad performances with good results sprinkled in, and you’ll get found out eventually (like last season)but multiple performances where structure and balance is being seen more and more and where you can start to picture what’s trying to be done, eventually results will come. Unfortunately for Ten hag, it is a results business but I do believe this season will be a good one. I hope..

That was Rashfords best game in as long as I can remember. Work rate was mostly spot on. Attitude was spot on. He keeps this up and I'll be well fucking happy.

Good video, I have been thinking this for a few years

Not sure how without changing majority of front players we can improve

The weird thing is on paper our front players should get 70 plus goals no problem

What I hated yesterday that once Twente equalised, I have seen the more urgency and fast pace playing which fully surprised me like Where the bloody hell was this energy before?
So it meant that players were taking it easy.
