Founded in Montreal in 1904 by Brother André Bessette in Saint Joseph's honour, the Oratory's monumental scale spanned six decades of construction and attracts more than 2 million pilgrims from around the world every year.

In 1992 we been there, our friends from Montreal been so nice to us to take us to this Church were we seen all the waking sticks left behind by the people been healed ( min 6.33 ), and than other nice seen attractions from Montreal, and having a car trip to Toronto and back !! Truly remarkable, spiritual and holy place. Living not far from the church, I've been there more than 30 times at least but still this place never fails to amaze me and lifts me up spiritually.

One of the first places I visited when I first moved to Montreal. I used to always walk past it when I lived in NDG. Now that I'm living farther away I keep meaning to make a trip back to see it again <3

I moved from Montreal 25 years ago but I used to go up to the Oratory very, very often alone and with the occasion friend and walk around for hours. There are so many undiscovered areas that are very holy and spiritual. One in particular I would like to share is in that the 10, 000 plus votive candles generate a lot of heat and have to emit this heat out into an area covered by a marble archway/portico. When you discover this in the middle of winter, it provides an intense radiating warmth that takes off the winter chill. There are many others untapped hidden treasures however, many of these are best discovered in the Spring, as the snow melts away. Safe journeys!

Prayers for GARRY Eva. Heis fighting pancreatic cancer in spine, ribs, left eye socket, rt hip. In drug trial. In hospital for fluid n air on his lungs. Was to have radiation for hip n eye socket, may lose left eyesight. Very weak. Thank you Brother Andre n ST. Joseph for. Honor n glory of God!!!
