Thanks:) We use a K-sport "coilover" kit that should have 180 N/mm front and 155N/mm rear. It works great but we find the numbers provided by K-sport a little odd since i.e. E30M3 Group N springs are 120 front and 180 rear... Brake pads is Ferodo DS2500, disc is stock size (260mm OD front and 258 rear) "ATE Powerdisc". Cooling to brakes from intake in front. Thanks for the gratulations. We are 3 drivers sharing the car and now we have done 8.15/8.17/8.18 BTG:-) Stock 325i except exhaust syst.

Standard 4 lugs and yes we believe 15 inch is suffiecent for this light weight/low powered car. 15 inchs wheels are very light and we can keep standard brakes. If we tune the engine as planned we might change from current 205/50-15 on 7"x15" to 225/45-15 on 8"x15". But 205/50 is also helping to keep budget low so we might keep as is.

Hi, thank you:-) Offcoarse an LSD will always be a little bit better, but on the Nordschleife we hardly ever get any problems with wheelspin on the inner wheel. However we have bought an 25% LSD this summer, which will be installed this winter so next year we will see. Still 3, 63 ratio (With more power also next year)
Hard to say when it comes to diff ratio. Again the 3, 63 fits the car and the Nordschleife very well. Just on the edge to hit the rev limiter several places.

U are totally right about that! When you have that fading problem during a race there's one solution to handle it. Brake hard immediatly every time you hit the brakes. Give it no time to create heat by sliding your pad's over your disc's during soft braking. I learned that trick during downhill fun in the alpes. But always hit the brakes earlier to give yourself some extra stopping time.

Thanks! Always fun to watch and meet other E30's at the Ring:-) They are a very good "Ring-tool"!

The top speed is approx 220 kmh (GPS) but it will only go 174 uphill towards Hohe Acht due to the very steep incline;-) 15% uphill and 300m elevation from the bridge at Breidscheid to Hohe Acht. If you look at Scwedenkreutz and Fuchsröhre you see higher speeds. We run stock 5 speed box and an open 3, 63 diff. Stock engine with 171HP.

Great video man, faved within first minute. For someone that dreams of rising an E30 around the ring, this summarised it perfectly. Thank you.

Great lap. As a fellow e30 owner it was fun to see the steering wheel input with the stock rack on the ring.

Front: ATE Disc, Ferrodo and DS2500 pads, rear stock disc and DS2500 pads. Cooling from front on to front brakes. They have not faded so far. Have done up to 6 laps straight without issues.

We can push the trottle as early as we want;-) I know it helps on shorter/slower tracks, but I dont think it will help on the Ring. That also goes for the diff ratio. 4.27 would not work at the ring, you would hit the rev limiter in 5th gear several places. And don't agree on the welded diff, ratio might help on the accelration dependent on which track, but welded diff only creates understeer on turn-in:-)

In my experience most of the time, fading starts by having bad / old brake fluid. Bad oil wich is getting hot starts "cooking" so there air bubbles emerge wich gives you a soft brake pedal. Fading by brake pads usually starts through fitting new pads on new discs wich are not good ingrained. (vitrification) What rarely appears in good use through the first few miles (correct my english if i said it wrong)

Well, I can't spend my money on LSD for now... that's the reason I welded my diff. It's true the understeer, but it's a problem that I fix modifying the set up.

An yes, 4, 27 is too short at the ring, the max speed is 200km/h Approximately on 15" wheels but I normally drive in slowly tracks ;)

Waiting for a new onboard videos!!

Hi, we are using K-sport suspension. Coilovers front and springs/dampers rear. Only upgraded bushings from Millway Motorsport, other than that stock geometry and suspension. (Exept from the coilovers and topmounts)

Yes lots of input needed, but no understeer. Car has the stock non-power steeringrack with 4, 5 turns lock to lock.... It is on the to "do list" to upgrade to a more track friendly shorter steering.

Thanks, it has the stock 3, 63 diff. Maybe it sounds revy since the car is quite ligth? It only weighs 1059kg with full tank when this video was taken. Last year we added a header, slightly lightenedflywheel and reduced weight to 1015kg without driver. Best BTG is now 8.15:-)
