George Way Tuxedo kit - Bonham

While shooting promotional shots of this Way Studio kit, Kurt Dahle was kind enough to play for a few clips. The kit sizes are all Bonham - 10 x 14, 16 x 16, 16 x 18 and 14 x 26. The snare drum is a 6.5 x 14 Brass Hollywood. The cymbals are old school Paiste Black Label 2oo2s. The mics are just for show - the sound was recorded directly to the camera. The fact is...as good as the kit sounds, it sounded even better just standing in the room. There is no damping in the bass drum nor on any of the toms. This kit is on its way to Shane at Drum Center Portsmouth and I imagine you'll get to see and hear it at the upcoming Connecticut Drum Show. Special thanks to Bryan at the Warehouse Studios (where AC/DC recorded their latest album!).

if anyone is wondering, that little guy in the background is Master Jackson Dunnett.

Wait, is that a 24" 2002 Ride from the 70's? I've never seen one that clean. Worth a fortune! The drums sound killer as always :)

Hey Ron i have a 1950's WFL kit (24, 13, 16) i'd love to use your tom mounting system on.. obvisouly don't want to drill into the bass drum shell.. Would i use the SC-RM105 with the SC-GRUC?? is that what you have going on in this video man?? I really appreciate your time man.. you are a god in my eyes man. What you and Carter are doing for the drum world is priceless... Keep on keeping on, and doing what you're doing man. Thanks in advanced!!!

A shame such a wonderful drum set was so poorly demonstrated. I was able to hear what the snare drum, crash cymbals, hi-hat cymbals, & bass drum sound like and the snare sounds GREAT! But I have no idea what the toms sound like. I am currently trying to decide if I should spend some long green $$ on a beautiful mahogany GW kit in this same configuration and really wanted to hear all of it. There is no place I can go within a days drive to hear George Way drums in person so I have to take a leap of faith and depend on video demos. This one really disappointed me.
