my life has literally gone from trying to make the most tastiest gourmet meals to making whatever I can get full on for less than $5 a day. and even $5 a day is hurting sometimes.. great video

Confession I don't peel large carrots. I just take a brand new scotch Brite pad (the green ones that don't come with the sponge) and under some cold water I just scrub them clean. Less waste and its easier and faster. Chop as normal. My hubby showed me that because when he worked at a ponderosa as a teenager that's what they did in the restaurant

I love these type videos. My nephew (28 ) asked me recently to create almost homemade meals for less than $4 ea. YAY! Most were about $3. Canned meats, eggs, Rice-A-Roni and Knorr $1 packages, Frozen 89c veggies. Made him 1 week of menus for $45 - 3 meals a day. After the first week he told me it was all awesome. So proud that he is willing to cook his own meals. Walmart is the only place I can find canned ham in a small can. I have been following Meals with Maria for about a year now. She is great.

Just bought all the ingredients I need to make these meals and it was $15.57! I am so excited to see how far these recipes take me and my two toddlers! Holy cow 🥹🫶🏼 thank you for doing these videos! I know how much work it is to just film and edit! So to have the budgeting and cooking and pricing? 🤯 THANK YOU! From one grateful mama!

I love these budget meal dinners! I was able to make 7 dinners for $20 a few weeks ago and they were so tasty and my wallet thanked me 😊

I also subscribe to Maria cuz each meal channel has their own take on what they have in their meal rotation. The more the merrier.😊 I love learning hacks for mixes

I never thought I'd see the day where eggs in the US were more expensive than in Canada. I'll definitely be trying some of these recipes very soon!! Everything looked delicious.

Paid $4.99 for a dozen eggs today at Aldi. Crazy! Love Meals With Maria! You're pretty special too! 😉

I prefer regular whole carrots because I feel like they’re fresher than the baby ones because they don’t sit around peeled and in water for quite a few days… 🤷🏻‍♀️

I appreciate your videos so much. I found them a few months ago, and I don't do anything as extreme as your challenge videos, but the information in them has helped me save so much money. I used to spend over $100 a week on groceries and toiletries, but I've used your videos to start planning ahead, using ingredients over multiple meals, and putting in a little more work (like grating a block of cheese instead of buying shredded). Now our weekly grocery bill (family of 3 + a dog), is usually about $60-$70. Your videos have been so helpful!

I’ve been known to throw a big towel (folded over a few times) over my slow cooker to hold in heat and hasten the cooking 😉 it really helps

Swap out
1. the stewing beef for 2 packs of Tofu (Tofu and beef have same protein amount but while beef is higher in potassium Tofu is higher in calcium, folate and omega 3s as well as lower in fat)
2. Lentils for the ground turkey (lentils again high in thiamin and folate, lower in protein but still decent amounts, lower cholesterol, high in iron and dietary fiber which we don't get enough of- could keep fuller longer)

Both of those swaps could save you at least $5 on the low end, probably up to $7/$8 depending on where you are. And lentils stay good forever when Dried, and can be a bulk Pantry staple to have on hand to keep future grocery bills low.

I adapted your beef noodle soup recipe and cooked everything minus the noodles in the instant pot! Mindy, I know you don't *love* using the instant pot, but the beef was fall-apart tender and absolutely delicious.

Over from Maria's group. I do the same thing at Walmart - head straight to the discount bakery items. LOL I like your ideas and I've subscribed. 😊

Blueberry muffin: I had almond flour so added 1/2 cup instead of wheat flour, 1 tsp baking powder, 1 tblsp sugar, 1 tsp vanilla, 1 egg, 3/4 cup milk, 1 tblsp butter and 1/2 cup real blueberries. Makes a healthier muffin. Very good. Also made the teriyaki bowl, great ideas!

I buy the cheap can biscuits. Put two together and add butter, garlic, parmesan and oregano. They fluff up big and they are so good.

Bought eggs in Fresno, Ca today. A 18 pack was $8.97 so I got a 60 pack for $25 because I’m tired of buying them weekly!
