Always Ready: Apologetics 101 for Students

Christian young people face a variety of attacks on the truth of Christianity, and it is vital that they be prepared to give an answer for the hope within them (1 Pet. 3:15).

Always Ready by Dr. Greg Bahnsen, whom Dr. Sproul debated, is the best book for a basic intro to Presup apologetics.

This is just false. It is not the case that atheists believe in their hearts that God exists, but selfishly resist that truth. It has been my experience that certain believers are at some point presented with a theological dilemma that neither they nor any apologist can unwind. This morning I heard Dr. J.P. Moreland say that he prayed for a pool table that his family wanted, and that God miraculously granted it to him. One might well marvel then that the prayers of millions of sexually abused children are daily ignored by the Deity, even though he knows that these outrages will lead many of those poor souls into lives of purposeless misery. Faced with such a puzzle, many of those aforementioned believers will make what seems to me the rational deduction and conclude that there is no God. Such was my case.
