Southern, PA Lightning Severe Storms And Lightning - 5/19/2019

Line after line of severe thunderstorms head through most of the keystone state today. Heavy rains, gusty winds, and even some tornado warnings bring an end to the week.

Scene 6 : Tornado warned storm in distance over York county, Pa / traffic traveling on US 15 (wide, pan from left to right)

Scene 8 : Heavy rains falling while traffic is traveling at slow speeds on US 15.

This video doesn't do it justice. That was one of the most amazing things I've ever seen. Glad you got a good pic of the shelf cloud though, it was too dark by the time it got to us to see it but you could defenitely see the clear definition of the shelf cloud by the lightning coming from the parent cloud above it.

I live in PA we spotted a funnel cloud in the sky and the news told ppl to go in ur basement. Btw it was in the middle of the night on Thursday and my parents woke me up. At school everybody was so tired! I was awful😭

Maybe this is a dumb question, but why is lightning blue sometimes and sometimes red?

The worst of the line of these storms have passed and it was a great ending

It's no longer PA 295. It's now PA 297 due to I-295 being in Pennsylvania.
