Digital Text Mining

Matthew Jockers, University of Nebraska-Lincoln assistant professor of English, combines computer programming with digital text-mining to produce deep thematic, stylistic analyses of literary works throughout history -- an intensely data-driven process he calls macroanalysis. It's opening up new methods for literary theorists to study literature.
