Drain Soul as a main dps ability is not a good idea... They should've gone with Drain Life.
Even with the Soul Shards stacking to 3, using Drain Soul so much means you end up with tons of Soul Shards...
Quite happy with the Demonology changes, especially the Sacrifice being early.
Destruction changes are cool too, making Firelock a viable build.

You have 1 affliction warlock using up 1/10 of the debuff limit on a boss in a 40 man raid. how did this get through any layer of decision making

Infernals don't work, Soul Link doesnt work, Succbus is doing half its old dmg, as is Felhunter. Avoidance does not work because it is taught to your pet when you get it, so Warlocks that already existed don't get it. Dark Pact being gone ruins the leveling experience as affli. Everything about this patch completely ruined the HC leveling experience.

Why Nerf Warlock so hard and have all these undercooked ideas implemented without any real testing?

I love turtle and I am having fun, but please fix demonology, pets, and I do not play the other specs but I do not hear good things. I miss my old spells stone that let me cleanse and absorb magic

Got my warlock to 60 but I'm not loving the new changes. Playing destruction I just felt like a worse mage, with a weak searing pain instead of a powerful firebolt. Affliction just feels bloated, three drain spells, 4 dots/curses, and no AOE.
Haven't tried demonology but I am not hearing a lot of positives.
I really appreciate and respect all the work and dedication that went into this patch and I have loved playing on turtle wow but I think this update missed the mark on warlock.

The patch feels like a general downgrade for Warlocks.

Affliction -> Useless, mana costs are way too high. After one rotation, you're out 2k mana, which makes this spec barely sustainable.
Demonology -> Useless, pet survivability is still a major issue—even with the new avoidance, pets die too quickly, and greater demons feel clunky in actual gameplay.
Fire -> Good for dungeons or clearing trash, but the reliance on Searing Pain as a filler is a letdown. Overall, it feels weaker than previous builds.
Demonology/Ruin -> Decent but weaker than SM/Ruin due to the pet dying too easily, and greater demons feel ineffective without Soul Link.
DS/Ruin -> Useless, once a great option, now it’s not viable after the recent nerfs.
SM/Ruin -> The only spec that remains raid-viable. It's still similar to before, but even this spec saw nerfs that thankfully were reverted.

While the shard QoL changes are welcome, it’s clear that whoever designed these Warlock changes lacks basic knowledge of the class, and they haven't been open to feedback from the community.

New to Turtle WoW? Maybe try another class -> Warlocks are clearly not a priority here.

Classic might be old as time itself but the classes are so established with builds, techniques, guides… I don’t know it’s a good idea to be changing classes fundamentally… add more content, quests, lands for sure but the classes?

Really shoulda made drain life the bread and butter for affliction, as now my bags are suffering and it is very annoying, a soul bag would only be a bandaid

They killed my Demonology Warlock with this patch. It was a mistake to overhaul so much in 1 patch. The first round of class changes was much better, as they simply took Vanilla and tweaked a bit on it. Now it's quickly becoming something else entirely. It would've been much better to do small changes more frequently, and check if they fit, instead of forcing through so much at once. Sure, introducing new specs and playstyles is OK. It's Vanilla+ after all. But killing off specs that have been part of Vanilla for many years is not OK.

Edit: It's also better to buff underperforming specs instead of nerfing specs that are fine. No one likes having their class or race nerfed.

I feel like destructions damaging abilities arent very synergistic and unlike the new frost talents the rotation for demonology isnt screaming out the way it should be played like it was frostmage it still feels like i just need to spam shadowbolt just like original vanilla...it isnt fun
