That really just shows how ingrained chaos, instability and disorder are ingrained in this girl; to where she will actively miss it even if she might acknowledge needing to move on from it.
The chaos seems to be all she knows, so of course she will miss it and even actively seek it out just to have a semblance of comfort..
even if it comes at the risk of her daughter, who also wouldn't know anything else but what she's seen to this point yet somehow still has the empathy to ask her "mama, are you okay?"..

To think that Debby used to be the sweetest one in the family when she was little, now she's a complete opposite. show how a person's environment and family background can shape your character.
People who grew up in warm loving home feel so entitled to judge Debbie's character. I too come from a dysfunctional family though it's nothing close to the galligas. I don't like what she's has become too, but I know she's been through hell since childhood
