Explore why migration is so taxing and dangerous for birds, and what ways we can help birds on their journey.

--

Nearly 200 species of songbirds migrate south for winter, some traveling up to 7,000 miles. No easy task, the annual journey is dangerous to birds due to landscape change -- so much so, that only half the birds that migrate south will return home for spring. Alyssa Klavans details why bird migration is so taxing and how we can assist our chirping friends.

This video made me realize for the first time that the movement of migratory birds is not just long, but at the risk of their lives. We also learned how little we humans think about nature through the migration of migratory birds. Therefore, I became interested in migratory birds that I was not interested in through this video, and I wondered what kind of migratory birds I was passing through our country. And in the future, I think it would be nice if we had more interest in ways in which we can coexist with nature.

This clip made me think more about nature, including birds. I think that the factors that prevent birds from moving, such as pesticides or tall buildings, are due to the development of civilization. The development of civilization is good, but I think it shouldn't go too far. I think we should consider nature more, like the way it came out in the video.

This video gave me an opportunity to think about the environment.
I, who didn't really think about the environment, heard the story of birds and learned a lot about the environment and the path of movement.
It is a video that played while leaving the text of the textbook during the school class, which helped me study.
We need to develop an idea of how to preserve the environment.

I felt sorry for the migratory birds when i saw this ted. I didnt know that migratory birds were at this much risk as they moved.
From now on i wilk protect the enviroment for migratory birds and protect them.

If humans are the cause, we are also the solution.

I'm glad there were some suggestions at the end. Too often I see media/literature that berates humanity's effect on the enviroment/nature to such an extent that many people frame green efforts as the whim of conceited hippies.

I feel sorry and envious for bird at the same time, because they can't just stay wherever they want to be like us in the harsh time of the year. But in the other side, they get to fly and live somewhere else at least once a year. Anyway, educating video as usual. Thank you for sharing it with us!

At first, I was very interested in preparing for the migration of migratory birds, but later I was very sad to learn that the migration of migratory birds was a dangerous journey due to modern natural destruction. I was also very frustrated that development and development had a bad effect on many ecosystems around us, including migratory birds, as well as on nature.Through this video, I hope that there will be no more reckless development for many animals and plants, including migratory birds, which will suffer from natural destruction due to development.  And I hope that eco-friendly development can be made sooner. Above all, I will make efforts to revive the environment.

Good video, highlights the real problem of agricultural practices and urban sprawl.
"Birds help with insect control, pollination and dispersing seeds throughout the landscape. " disbursing = spending money

I thought that the migration of birds was simple but, it was not. it was rather complicated. I was surprised that because of human development, birds lost their way. I hope many people could consider birds more by watching their video.

Before I watched this clip, I never thought migrating birds was dangerous. The migration of birds was more dangerous than I thought. But people have a bad effect on migrating birds. The world will be confused if migrating birds that give us advantages are put in danger. So, we need to help migrating birds finish their journey safe.

Before I watch this video, I didn't know that migrating birds were at risk. Birds take pesticides as they move around and lose their habitat in land development. It was a pity that the cause of this result was people. In order to solve this problem, there is a soultion, but i think it is necessary to help the government implement it more positively. I hope this will help the birds to migrate safety.

This video alerted me with new knowledge. Unlike my thoughts, I come to know that the migratory birds are intellectually preparing a lot to move and we, the humans' desires were the one that unintentionally impede their movement. Till now,  I've never thought of a world without birds, but after watching this video, I come to face with serious problem and thought what the world will be like when the birds are not around us. (Maybe the world will be very horrible.) So, I would like to take actions for our better world.
