I hope they succeed. It's been 21 years and I'm still grieving the loss of Concorde.

I flew on the Concorde - once - back in the day. The seats and cabin were cramped. I remember there was an issue getting every passenger’s coats to fit in the woefully inadequate closet spaces. But overall the BA soft product was exceptional. I regret never trying the Air France version. For a civilian, the opportunity to fly faster-than-sound is one I will always treasure. Of course, the environmental impact of the Concorde was - by today’s standards - horrific. I wish Boom Supersonic well. I just wish they’d built their construction facilities here in Colorado!

As an aviation enthusiast who wasn’t born until after the Concorde retired, I’m proud to be best to witness the next supersonic commercial jet. I hope that the project goes well. I love the Concorde and hope they keep of the designer elements, including the famous “droop snoot”.

The CGI mockup of overture literally looks like a 747 and Concorde hybrid. It makes sense as it was the 747 that made jet travel affordable for travellers.
