Something goes wrong between primary school and high school. In primary schools, there are play spaces. Then suddenly, when the child becomes an adolescent, the play spaces disappear. We are left in the cold, walled outdoor spaces like a prison. Slowly we are instructed to stay off the grass and leave nature alone. Drew, and the young people he works with, have discovered they can change the system. They can generate playful critical thinking with waste. This empowers young people. "You can change the system. You can make a life for yourself without money, land, papers or a loan."
Drew has survived the highly competitive corporate world and total loss of his home with black Saturday fires and reinvented himself. Drew mentors adolescent boys at Templestowe College in Victoria, Australia. He has worked with kids from troubled backgrounds and focuses on personal development rather than theory. Drew is proud to promote progressive training and is a fierce advocate for critical thinking programs for all ages.

Wow April, fantastic! Drew is an inspiration as is the program at Tempy and the lucky kids that are part of it.
