CH-53 Firefighting Helicopters Dropping Water On Wildfire

On September 6, 2024, a forest fire broke out at the foot of the Brocken in the Harz Mountains, Germany. Three Sikorsky CH-53 and other helicopters dropped water to put out the wildfire. They constantly commuted between Königsberg and Wurmwerg, where the extinguishing water was collected. The big, red barrel has a volume of 5000 litres.
