F22 have more then 100m of vertical climb without so much horizontal movement, so that is not cobra maneuver. It's looks more like split S... For cobra maneuver you must always move forward and to gain very little altitude. Sukhoi is doing superb demo of how cobra should look like

Su 57 wins it hands down as it goes past the vertical and is smoother

su-57 footage is from a 2013 prototype in early stage of development.

The 22 isn't trying to do a cobra in this clip, it's just doing a stall at an airshow

F-22 did performed well but it took way to much height. But the Su-57 shows how to overcome the law of physics ❤️

su 57 look like having more thrust at the end of manoeuver

The Raptor seems to do it slower, like the FBW system tries to control it all the way until it pass the normal AOA limit.

I also find it amusing seeing the Americans doing this type of maneuver, since when the Russians came with in European airshows, they were the first to dismiss it as a airshow gimmick. But now that they have a fighter that can do it, they proudly show it as a proof of how agile the F-22 is.

Good thing none of this means jack in an actual dog fight.

Cut out the best where su57 started drifting left while nose pointed 45⁰
Thats the thrust vectoring

F-22 did it great. But the Su57 did it more smoothly

I remember how stunned the world was when the SU-57 first did this maneuver. We had nothing that could compare, and clearly that scared some folks in the old Pentagon.

I love my military I served 8 years in the army 2 tours but I think the Russian got this

The intensity extreme pressure that is associated with flying in such a manner requires overall functionality training which specializes in Vertigo and inertia. I learned about this from teaching that originated in the school of gladiators in Sicily is the oldest Structure within the world.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but the thrust vectoring on the Su-57 is greater because of it's sacrificed stealth profile.

Su-57 has much better thrust-vectoring than the F-22. The 57 wins here.

Fun to watch, but for those who think this is in any way relevant to combat performance, you may as well be claiming Royce Gracie is more deadly than an atomic bomb because the bomb can't perform an arm-triangle choke. It's nearly that nonsensical to a 5th Gen aviation combat discussion. 🤣

While some of it is due to the aircraft, a lot more depends on the pilot's abilities.

Su-57 is more stable and does it really smooth.

Until the SU-57 finds something other than radar to ping enemy aircraft, it will never matter that it can do the cobra better.

What many people don't know is the f-22 can literally do this and fall backwards making it a 180 degree cobra full control over it's velocity for reference watch mogas demo let's stop dick measuring none of us actually fly these things anyway
