The Klim carbon fiber helmet has sure been nice and comfortable for me. At age 73 my neck doesn't hurt with this one!

Thank you, Chase! Just getting back into the sport and this was extremely helpful. Seriously considering this helmet. Going to watch a few more of your video comparisons, but will definitely purchase from RM ATV when I decide.

Do you what stood out to me about Bell helmets in the old days (Moto 1, 2, 3, 4, 5)? Sure, they got round stylish, removable liners, vented shells, better energy absorption and shell material as time went on. But what stood out was that thick rubber trim Bell used on the edges of the shell (Goggle hole and bottom edge of the helmet.).
When we saw that thicker trim, we knew we were looking at a good Bell helmet. It was almost a logo. They should bring it back with a modern protection retro line (Moto-3, 4, 5). :)

I just bought this helmet ($500.00). I compared it to the Bell 10 ($900.00) Personally, I think MIPS is overrated, (but does have a small advantage and is an improvement), and I am not a fan of modern helmet shapes (I like round), and nose Star Wars nose pieces, but they are 2 great helmets. Outside of the Bell having an air bag (for careful emergency removal), easily removable cheek pieces (for the same reason), and a good MIPS system, because I am riding trails and rarely over 30mph so a head/neck injury is very very rare, I don't give those features much weight. Speaking of "weight", it looks like getting a DOT certification adds at least a half pound to your helmet, and ads at least $100.00 to the price tag. The Klim blows everything DOT rated by a long shot for weight and top quality/cost. So here are the things I like better about the Klim over the king of Bell (I will assume protection is fantastic in both, and both vent great.):
1) Light weight
2) Fast chin strap connection/disconnection, gloves on.
3) Larger eye/goggle opening.
4) Smoother shell
5) Not quite as ugly of a mouth piece.
6) Not quite as ugly at the back of the helmet
7) Less plastic around the goggle hole, (looks cheap).
8) Better visor and visor mounting
9) $400.00 less
I have had mostly Bell helmets, (Moto 2, 3, 4, 5), and I loved them all. This Bell helmet is a great helmet too. But I see Klim making top quality/functionally innovative products, good customer support, and the features I am interested in, especially saving at least $100.00 retail and at least half pound by telling DOT to get bent.

Comfort, light weight and best helmet for airflow? Looking at this f3 carbon pro, Is there a better helmet for airflow that is also lightweight? I have the Alpinestar 10 now and still looking for better airflow.

Would you say this would be good for ADV riders? I understand the ECE ratings and know my laws for helmets in Texas but I am torn between this one and a 509 2.0 carbon fiber, any advice?

Is the f3 pro helmet more or less ventilated than the regular f5 model?

Is this the lightest full face you guys have tested? I've suffered a neck injury recently so helmet weight is my main priority now, most of my riding is at low speed in the city where I have to constantly do head-checks, hence the weight of my current lid (HJC F70 Carbon) has started to feel a little cumbersome. Would love some recommendations on the lightest full faces available!

DON'T BUY FROM THESE GUYS. I bought a brand new pair of costly Boots from them. Chase said they were true to size and they were not. When I returned them after just trying them on in my office they gave a partial refund and they said they had been worn. Don't buy anything clothing from these guys. Just use them for parts, for reference, before they did this to me I spent thousands with them on parts and such. Now I go elsewhere, I just watch their videos' for reviews and take the reviews with a pinch of salt. Thats my personal experience with these guys. not good.
