In school you learn lessons and given test. In life you 're given test and learn lessons. Too many of our children are passing test but not passing life especially inner city children. I feel our children are not given the proper tools to succeed in life. I know a lot of what I was taught in school I didn't need in my adult life.

Why does x initially get assigned a rod?

Why do I need to flip it to to be negative though? Can’t it just be -5 = -x
