They seem rather on par and really makes me wonder, why pay an extra £80 and be locked onto a single series of tablet with iOS. Hope they release the next nexus 10 edition soon xD

I was at the Grand Canyon this past Summer and was blown away by how many tourists were using ipads to take pictures. The tablets might have been loaners from the tour bus company but it just amazed me how many people were using tablets for their photos instead of point and shoot or dslr.

I own a Nexus 10 and a Nexus 4 and love them both. The Nexus 10 goes with me to meetings, I use it as a clipboard, I watch movies on it, and I read books on it. Awesome tablet.

Yea, I went to an electronic store. And I have decided to go along with the Samsung Galaxy note 8.0.

It does the job and its not too hefty. I will be buying it before my university begins :)

Those pages turning was a huge wow factor for me. Very awesome display. As for the volume buttons being backwards when in portrait I could see that easily being fixed with an update. Make it switch when in that orientation.

True, laptops should be used for productivity however my laptop is really heavy. So what I am looking for is a light, portable tablet which would be used for entertainment like movies and games but also be useful for during lectures.

I've got one and I can say the speaker quality is outstanding. Especially considering how thin the device is. They are one of the top features of the tablet for me.

As I said, *I*, a a longtime android phone/tablet user, have lots of media and apps that I wish to keep from older devices. They actually would look WORSE on the N10. I didn't want to wait for the android (and especially MY) media ecosystems to "catch up." But the N10 is a great device!
