Create storyboards in 10 minutes with these magic AI prompts

UX Storyboards are a great way to visualize the user's experience of your product long before you've built it. And now that AI art tools are here, you don't have to be an artist to create them.

In this video, product designer Marice Sy of Geocaching demonstrates how to make a UX Storyboard in 10 minutes, using the free AI art tool Bing Image Creator. And yes, similar prompts also work with Midjourney, Dall-E, or any other AI art tool.

Omit the word "storyboard" from the prompt, since it tends to create unwanted rectangles. The art style prompt we now recommend for Bing Image Creator is: "Sketchy simple black and white line drawing". Or for an even simpler cartoony style, use "Sketchy simple black and white stick figure line drawing".

Working storyboard artist here. I appreciate what AI is trying to do here, but the product is a problem for those of us trying to do new, inventive and creative work in the field.  

Game developers, commercial producers, any aspiring filmmaker will use this tool to develop generic, been-done-before imagery, and leave out the step of hiring an actual creative mind.

What are you going to do about those with a vision for something new, who cannot now find the work?

Thanks for the intel. I went right over to use your tips. I did get a few boards to work but i found out about - boosts (faster processing time). I was using too many boosts to narrow down the prompts so I just stopped. Hopefully they will figure this out.

I am new to image creator & while this doesn’t have to do with story boarding, but mind me asking you a question? I once asked image creator to create a comic strip with my character Tommy the Mischiefmaker in it, just to see if it would create anything at all? I was surprised by the results, because what it gave me oddly enough was a comic strip, but it looked as if Tommy was creating the comic strip himself. Where did I go wrong? Would you please give me some tips as to where I could do better in the near future, to get a story with an actual comic strip?

Amazing tips! But I can't get the same sketchy black and white sketching storyboard style with the prompt. I got black and white drawings, but they are a lot more elaborate and detailed.
