It's 2021 and there are only 2 tear down videos of this engine I've seen on youtube. It's been out 8 or 9 years now, not a bad testament for the reliability. This one isn't even broken.

My 2015 Mazda 6 is still going strong with 360, 000 MILES. Runs and shifts great and still getting 32-34 mpg hwy. Never dreamed I’d get to even 250K miles and here I am blasting toward 400K. Need to replace the cat/exhaust man unit due to a persistent PO421, but not too excited to spend the money.

My 2014 is making noise like a piston pin is going bad. I am afraid to attempt a rebuild because of the lack of information out there on these engines. And really hard to find some parts
