Our society thrives on the idea that high productivity equals success, and honestly… I’m exhausted by it.
Most times, all I really want is to lie in a hammock with a book, stay there for hours, and forget about what needs to be done next. Just breathe. No to-do lists, no endless tasks, no phone reminders… for weeks! Feels like heaven.
There are days when I feel this urge to throw my laptop on the floor, delete my entire downloads folder (because let’s face it, it’s a mess), and walk away from the digital clutter, commitments and deadlines included and disappear for a while.
I’m sure I’m not the only one feeling like this, and I’m someone that absolutely love doing all the things I do, sometimes is just too much and we have to pause, slow down and adjust before moving forward. Luckily I learned amazing tools to self regulate and release my emotions in a healthy way, otherwise I wouldn’t be here.
Someone once asked me what I saw myself doing in the future, and without hesitation, I said: “I just want to spend all my day fluffing pillows and making my home a beautiful place to be.” And honestly, I meant it. At this point, I don’t even have a dream job anymore, I’ve lived through those.
Maybe there’s still space for a dream business in the future, where I can spend my days teaching and curating experiences, but what I really crave right now is time to do absolutely nothing. I want abundant ease. To spend my days building a home I love, nourishing my body, mind, and soul, and living life at a slower, more intentional pace.
How do I get there? Well, that’s the mystery. If you’ve cracked the code, I’m all ears. ✨ #slowdown
