1991 is the year the workers at the Royal Canadian Mint went on strike. As a result, the mintage for Canadian coins was low that year.

I can't believe what I did. I went to coinstar and accidentally for some reason it was in of my coinage. 1922 NO MINT Love the show.

2000p. First year with plating (hence the p) and they minted around 4, 899, 000. Less than the 1970

However, since 2003 I believe, canadaian mint has had a “recycle” program. Where they have the coins they pick up from banks and brinks sent through machines to sort out everything not steel. In the near future it will be very very rare to find any canadian coins before year 2000. I’d keep all the nickels! Dimes and quarters made of 99> nickel will never be worth their weight in metal so keep them for the fact they will be rare or toss them cause they won’t be worth anything ever. I keep them for my kids “treasure chest”.

Loooove coin roll hunting. Been a few years regrettably. Gotta start up again. Even found a 1925 once :). And 200+ dollars in pre 1982 nickels. Good times. Now that I look back, I’m so lame.

There is a known error of the 1996 coins where the 6 is attached to the d due to a die chip. Can be worth over $100. There are also errors where cracks can be found on either of the top two leaves.

Hello Justin, I just got back from Canada and had a fellow Canadian give me a $10 Canadian bill that he stated was rare, not sure but it was a gift and it's awesome looking lol. Going back in Sept and will be looking out for these coins :) Thank you for another informative video!

Do you have a list of Canadian coins that you still need? I have an extensive collection with many duplicates (mostly 60s to 2000s) and would def trade canadian coins for american coins. I just bought mint rolls of the special dimes and the last year of pennies. I will send you some for sure :)

I recently bought Canada 1970 uncirculated set from mint in Ebay just for CA$ 8.00(U$6.4)
And that set have at least MS-64 grade 1970 uncirculated nickel... guess I'm the lucky one
