i was so young (7) when this video came out. The only thing I remembered about it was that it took place in a library, and they danced. So happy to see it again over 30+ years later.

I was a teenager in Chicago first seeing this video on MV50. It was a local video show.

I remember this video in 1984 on New York Hot Tracks so I had to find it. It might have been made for the posthumous reason. As young as I was, I thought this was a follow up to "Sexual Healing", but for sure it's a 1968 classic. Videos were so popular, they even made videos to older songs. I love the 80's look on a 60's song, excellent choreographed ensemble, and I spotted a 555 phone number.

This video had me scratching the hell out of my young head when it came out. I was trying to match the song with what was happening in the video...Marvin's singing about hearing it through the grapevine & it's looking like an orgy is about to break out in the video > bc some Ralph Macchio looking dude slapped the table...I was really thrown off by the stuff that he was doing & his dancing lol.... I saw alot of stuff in the early 80s music videos that - to this day - I'm still not too clear about lol.

Along with some stuff that I did not see coming & was *too* clear about. Three words: Girls On Film > the uncensored 'night version' or whatever it was called. 😯😯😯

I can't imagine being a youngun' nowadays with the kind of stuff that they put out. Or trying to parent one. Whew chile! 😧🤯
