Had a Tilly 212 on my doodlebug for about a year now and it’s been great but I kinda want to open it up a bit more and go a little faster than 50mph. As far as taking the governor off will, is their any fail safe for over revving? Looking for some good top end but I don’t want to sacrifice the engine in the process.

your website says the tillotson 212 electric start has 26lb springs..

In this video they say the factory valve springs are 22lbs or as they like to call them “double duecers”. On the GPS website the tilly description says 26lb valve springs….so witch one is it?

As a new proud owner of the Rascal mini bike and Stage 1 love to hear your recommendations (precisely) for properly breaking in this motor. Seems many different processes when I look around on YouTube.

The only thing missing in my Tillotson is the governor removal, do you carry a linkage kit for the carb? Once you remove the governor linkage what are you left with?

Man I bought the tillison 196r box stock racing engine. It was amazing except I mistake packing oil on the dipstick for actual oil and blew it up.

What are all the specs on the 212r MKII engine. I scooped one when they came out a bit ago and got a sweet kart now has a predator ghost on it, trying to decide which one is better. The tilly def looks like better build quality the ghosts flywheel looks like booger sand casting scary lol. As they sit I'm guessing they make about the same power, since the ghost is rev limited to 6k, granted I can just put a different coil on it and it will go to the moon and get valve float or run out of carb but that fly wheel is scary lol. Your guys thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Out of the two I'll def prolly build the tilly plus the tilly looks like the cam has more duration than the ghost dunno what cam it comes with other than it saying its more aggressive than stock and a 196 head for more compression with bigger valves. Anyway let me know what you guys think.

Is there any actual reason to spend the extra money on a tillotson instead of getting a ducar which is exactly the same except comes stock with the pvl flywheel? GPS never mentions ducar so I assume there must be some contract with tillotson that makes you guys only promote and sell their stuff.

I’ve met some school boys out here in Compton going pretty damned fast on those predators brother. I’m a Tillotson guy myself but there’s nothing wrong with a Predator in fact the Ghost is a Predator hemi with a Tillotson 212 (Ducar) head, nothing more

I had my whole mini bike taken apart all the way down to a bare metal frame after swapping out stock engine block for a new one. Gave frame and fenders and motorcycle style gas tank and almost have the engine finished but i am having issues getting the torque converter backing plate to sit flat against engine. I know why it's not sitting flat against the engine. it's because i decided to lose all the engine bolts and switch to studs instead. Now one of the side cover bolts on the right side is preventing the torque converter plate from being able to go back all the way. Is my only choice here to pull out that 1 single stud that is interfering and replace it with a bolt instead ? Or is there another option that i'm not thinking of ? Is this a common issue ?
