Spotlight on state of audit outcomes for municipalities

Gauteng Finance and Economic Development MEC Lebogang Maile says performance targets were not achieved in some municipalities which affected the adequacy of basic services being delivered to communities. Maile briefed the media on the State of Audit outcomes of Gauteng's eleven municipalities. He says a number of Gauteng municipalities that submitted credible financial statements for auditing increased by 5% - that is from 33% to 38%.
