I really enjoyed this show, I don’t care what the critics thought about it . Maybe I would feel different if I had read the book . Those 2 young actors were phenomenal .

Instead of a German accent, Louis (who is German) has an English accent. Love his work. He is very good with the dark, gritty, emotional characters.

Amazing series…absolutely loved the show. Was so happy to see Louis since Dark, which I absolutely loved. Such great roles and amazing performances from everyone involved. I can’t believe this is Aria’s first role. Really looking forward to seeing more work from these actors.

I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. I have the book, hadn' t read it. This was the actress' 1st movie and she was phenomenol. I know from the plot that the movie ends differently. I'm going to Normandie this spring for the 80th anniversary of D-Day and this hit home.

Watch this film as a stand alone from the book. If you like corny, smultzy films, this is for you. It is not remotely like the book. The story line and characters have been changed. The book is excellent, but this is not a film telling the story of the book. The film is very make believe, like a Disney cartoon with real people. There is a place for this type of film, depends what you like to watch. Beautifully shot and the color palette was lovely.

a truly awful, awful production ... there is not one 10-minute portion of this entire series that rings true - who writes this crap? who funds this crap?

It was good but I hated the whole FRENCH victim narrative, they were active in WW1🤡, so the hypocrisy of some characters was very 🤮
