The main difference is the S400 and S500 ( the muppet here compare the old system S400, instead of the S500, already in use for years ! ) - the main difference, both S400 and S500/S550 are at least a decade ahead of anything US have.
Quadruple the range, quadruple the speed, much better radar.

Biggest difference between the two is that the S-400 is ruzzia's primary premiere defense system while the patriot system is not for the US--we have much better than these old patriot systems, while ruzzia does not have much better than their S-400--plus, we have lasers and other systems that severely limit ruzzia's or anyone's nuclear threat against us. We can defend ourselves against the big stuff in ways they can't and probably never will, based on their failure against Ukraine and crippled economy.
