Hearing Loss results...She failed the TEST!!

Today Aydah and Rory are both going to the ENT Doctor to get checked up! Rory has to be scheduled for surgery to remove her huge tonsils and Aydah might need hearing aids!

I have severe hearing loss in one ear and mild hearing loss in the other. When I got my hearing aids for the first time, I never wore them for awhile because I was uncomfortable with hearing certain sounds and hearing things better than before. I am glad that you guys are taking Aydah's hearing proplems seriously. Rory, you got this and I hope you guys are doing okay!

Hey, I’ve been a fan for a really long time! Btw I’m am fully deaf! have been for a good two years now.. but at the age of 3 to age 23 I’ve been hard of hearing and along the way I’ve taken speech therapy unconsciously teaching myself how to read lips little did I know I would be great at reading lips! Fast forward a week after my 23rd birthday I woke up one morning fully deaf! Went to to different doctors and it was confirmed that what happened to me was called “sudden hearing loss” I accepted it right away I was proud to be deaf I could speak, read lips, and do sign language 🤟🏾 so I felt no need to complain 😅… as time has passed and I processed my new way of living I came to the realization that maybe just maybe I had probably went deaf before that day I realize it but didn’t know due to me being able to read lips really good and keep conversations going! Anyway just I just want AYDAH to know she isn’t alone and she should take up American Sign Language she’ll find it cool I think 😅

I remember watching this channel a few years ago. I forgot it for a while but I found it again and I’m so happy I did! Hopefully Aydah will be okay! Last time I was here Rory was at least 4 and was the youngest.

I had my tonsils removed back in kindergarten when I was young and let me tell you it hurts more than anything, but just sucking on the cold Popsicles, the cold Jell-O in anything Cole really helped to soothe the pain and drinking lots of fluids because it hurt to swallow but just drink in the cold really not that! She will be great

I got hearing aids in December and it felt weird for about 2 weeks but it is worth it, I can hear much better and I can listen to anything through my phone. Ayda you will love them they are so worth the money.

I was born with a 45% of hearing loss in each ear. I had to wear hearing aids when I was little, and I still hate having to wear them, but please don’t be like me and not wear them. The downfall is that you can hear yourself talking like you’ve got a bucket over your head, or in a very enclosed tight cave. I never really liked hearing myself talk like that and they are uncomfortable but I hear that after wearing them for a while every day that you will eventually get used to it but I never could seem to get used to it, but it doesn’t mean that Aydah won’t. I can read lips to, but not very well. I also know quite a few sign language, but not fast edit like people that have to really count on sign language. I don’t necessarily have to have sign language, but it is a lot of help. It’s hard to hear high pitch tones and easier to hear the low pitch tones but I also have problems hearing my S’s and my T’s and a couple of others. I have Bluetooth hearing aids that are compatible with my devices so that way I can use my hearing aids through my device like you would AirPods, but they are also set to my hearing through my device as well if that makes sense. My hearing aids cost me $3000 and are through Beltone.

I feel so special to have a hearing aid, and to see a somebody else have a hearing aid and laugh. Also ear wax gets stuff in the tub, the tub will get sore a break, don’t sleep with your hearing aids on.

I have had a tonsillectomy before last June, Rory will be just fine, some tips are don’t talk, don’t cough, drink a lot of fluids, and lots of ice cream, lastly no straws. I hope Rory does well with her tonsillectomy!
