i recommend std::vector, you can push_back stuff and they dont have a fixed size. and also they just work like arrays, but just better

int max = 0;
int maxIndex = 0;
for(int i=0; i<5; i++){
if(max < array[i]){
max = array[i];
maxIndex = i;
}
}
