3DTouch Auto Leveling Sensor TEST 2- Abnormal status

Показать описание
if there is an alarm, use scrip 4: M280 P0 S160 to release alarm first.
then use a screw driver to turn the screw in the top of the sensor, when you turn anticlockwise, the pin will be retracted a bit , keep turning the screw untill the LED turns off.
at this time, when you turn the screw clockwise, the LED will light up again, that is the critical point, if you find this point, the LED will be normally on, meaning it is normal now.

If everything went well, you can go on with G28 and G29 command.

also i want to add to this solution, to prevent any future problem magnetize the tip, due to heat and movement the piston can get demagnetized

The 3D-Touch has a hex screw on the top that tends to loosen with the vibrations!
Perform the setting as explained in the video. Once OK, place a drop of threadlock on the head of the screw. Let it dry before restarting the printer. It should not move!

Wanna tell about my problem. Maybe someone come across the same. My 3dtouch has a plastic pin, and probably plastic pin is lighter than metal one. So while probing process the pin bounds bottom point because of its lighter weight. Than I have attached another tiny plastic to the pin tip and the sensor doing its job very well right now.

I am getting failed probing when trying to level the bed. the pin will retract before it hits the bed and then it just starts pulling the pin up and down over and over sometimes getting out of it and continuing on but sometimes it just stops and will not continue. Why does it do this? What is the function of the screw for the pin anyways? is this an adjustment or just manual retraction option?

Sorry, but this is so rushed (and the top of the tool can't be seen to help understand how much adjustment is going on) that it's not really much help. No explanation of what you're trying to do and why -- just BARELY showing HOW! What I'd like to know is why this is not addressed AT ALL in the manual?

When I try this, I find that there's a HUGE gap between the point where the light goes OFF (when turning counter-clockwise) and the point where it comes back ON (turning back clockwise). I'm talking SIX HUNDRED DEGREES of rotation between those points. This doesn't seem like a very accurate way of "dialing it in!" Furthermore, half the time when I unscrew it to the point where the light goes OFF, it throws it into its blinking ERROR mode!

So far the "official" forum isn't getting me any response AT ALL, either. So my printer's NON-OP while I grope around trying to find a fix!
