Great video!

If you used an iron to press open all the seams, it will look more polished, and be easier to line up the seams.

To make marking the fabric easier I have seen Angela Clayton use a big piece of styrofoam as a table top and push pins to keep the paper anchored over the material.

I purchased this pattern, put into illustrator and traced over the pattern and woah, no pieces are symmetrical! nore do the seam edges match at all in length, top outer edge is way out from side panel top curve! this is not good! looks like you pulled an existing hat apart and just drew around the skewed pieces, if your going to use the name "properfit" thats stretching it "excuse the pun" I appreciate the effort of the How to video and the initiative to share, but please, if your going to make patterns and call them "properfit", make them Propersymmetrical! and Propermatch! put them into a illustration / drawing program before you push these pdfs out to your customers!! it will make your business way more valuable. to purchasers of this particular pattern i suggest you treat this pattern as a basic guide to structure, use a drawing app / program to trace over said pattern and try correct yourself! yes i'll say the word again Symmetry and Matching seam lengths in millinery / hat making, are very important if you want your hat to look Propper!
