I don't know anymore either, at first, I thought it was just people trying to recreate older systems that maybe you could not find anymore.
Someguy has a copy of Bott Hill he found in his attic, Boot hill has been out of print forever but this guy thinks if he could dust it off, maybe fix some of the problems he could get it back out there for others to fall in love with or just learn some TTRPG history. Obviously, he can not call it Boot hill so he calls it Hill of Boots.
For me that was Old School at first, you never paid Red Box D&D? well this is just like Red Box D&D.
