In yet another provocative act on Friday (Jan 27), Swedish politician Rasmus Paludan burned a copy of the Quran in front of a mosque belonging to the local Islamic society in the Dortheavej district in Copenhagen, Denmark.

He then did it again in front of the Turkish embassy under the watchful eye of the police, and his actions have been widely condemned by the local communities in the Danish capital.

In Sweden the vandalism on Churches has increase by 620%, since the refugees came in 2015 and 2016. I have even experienced it in person. In Ronneby the Church was always open during the day, even if there was no one there. This was an option for people to go in and just relax after visiting the cemetery or just to sit down. The Church has been open for 965 years, but after the refugees came and destroyed part of the interior because it is Christian, the door is closed. The same refugees destroyed the Christmas celebration on the main square, burning down the Christmas tree and beating up people trying to go there. The Golden Rule applies and has for almost 3000 years, treat others how you want to be treated yourself.

As an Iranian, I respect what Mr. Rasmus Paluden does. Insulting religions, burning "holy" books, blasphemy, etc. should NOT be converted into a tabu. This will be a poison for free country in long-run. Free speech does not include insulting *live people*, but insulting the belief and religious signs should be permitted.

But it is freedom of speech though. Just because you don’t like it when someone stands up to you.

I don't really comprehend his logic. What he aims to achieve by doing as such abhorrent act?

Everything are freedom of speeches until u bring up Holocaust subjects and critism towards Israel or Jews. Then anyone who did that will be deemed anti-semitic and punishable by laws on certain countries.

In scandinavia we may not like your opinions, we may even be offended or provoked.. but we will die for your right to express them.

Just close gates from medival wild chords... this is simply... Defend our freedom. Burning any paper is only burning a paper in Europe. Good freedom defence act and freedom rights lesson for wild quest...

In this world, there will always be people like this. They are going for publicity. Actually better to ignore such behaviour.

Burning a holy book is considered freedom of speech. Meanwhile, criticizing the Holocaust will get you imprisoned in some countries. Why the double standard?
