I've been out of the loop and haven't been able to watch some cheapaudioman for the last few months due to a hectic life, but boy oh boy, this is the kind of videos that I am happy to see on my return and its what keeps me coming back! Keep up the good work, Randy!

I have a fosi audio amp similar to the first one you showed.
I use it at work, I think I’ve had it for 2 years it’s been left on for weeks at a time and lives in a nasty fab shop. Works no matter what

I have an Emotiva BasX A2m which is also a really good unit for the price and can currently be had for about $280. It was also featured on this very channel a couple of years ago. I am using it to power a pair of KEF bookshelf speakers I found at a yard sale for only $50 and was quite impressed with how it all sounds. It is a little two-channel setup in a spare bedroom.

Recently picked up the Yamaha Rx A2A brand new from Adorama for $475 to use as a 2 channel preamp and could not be happier. I registered it with Yamaha and the 3 year warranty was extended to 5 years.

Outstanding as always Randy! Thank you for including the Yamaha, Cambridge, Emotiva & Rotel options. I'll throw the good old IOTAVX SA3 in at #11 ($579). Thanks again and keep up the great work.

@cheapaudioman, thanks for this incredibly fun journey. I started viewing your channel 18 months ago. From knowing nothing about speakers and amps, I have a hobby that is now one of my favorites (watches too!). Thank you for this touchstone review on affordable amps! Appreciate you bruddah. 🙃

Denon pma 800ne has been my favourite budget amp for the last 3 years, it never gets any attention, I've owned Yamaha as500, marantz pm 5005, cambridge axa35, rotel a11 tribute aiyima a07 w/ douk p2 tube buffer, always end up back at the denon👍

I bought the SMSL AO300 based on the review of the AL200 on this channel, and I am positively gob-smacked by how good it sounds -- PLUS you get a subwoofer output.

I have the little RSL running two Arendal 1961 Bookshelves and an old Boston Acoustic sub, and it just sings! So impressed. Hella bang for the buck!!! Bluetooth is flawless and quick.

Oh Randy. My brain is full from all your information, and I am confused. Im downsizing my systems as we downsize living. I sold my Polk T15s and bought Sony CSS5S. Love them. Now my confusion. What am I using the mini amps to connect tape deck, yes still have one, TT. I need to be on the poor side but not to poor. Moving costs, ughh. Thanks

I purchased an Emotiva A3 and installed it yesterday. It is an external amp to my Marantz SR7012. Only $500 and the improvement in sound is amazing. I am very happy with my purchase. Thanks again for the review!

Randy, could you please do a “how to” swap op amps video? If you have already, my bad. TY!

I would separate my amp from my preamp. - I have the Emotive BASX-A2 which sounds incredible with my Linn Espek floor standing speakers. It is easily filling a 500 square foot space. They can be had for $500. For a preamp, I am running an older Music Hall integrated amp with a pre out function . However, if I had to buy a new preamp I would want to keep things as simple as possible -- the Schiit SYS Passive Preamp Volume Control and 2-Input Switch -- at $75 -- will work with just about any line source (except for a turntable) and pick up minimal distortion to feed that excellent Emotiva amp.

One I think you missed on the high end is the Cambridge Audio AXR-100. I have it in my basement system and it never disappoints. $599 at Crutchfield or refurbished from CA for a nice savings.
