In this video I'll be showing you how to remove black poly pipe from a barbed fitting and installing a pvc suction hose on a barbed fitting using a heat gun. This method can be used interchangeably between either black poly or pvc hoses for removal or installation on barbed fittings as well as assist in providing a higher quality clamping and sealing force when used with a barbed fitting. The ambient temperature was 40F inside the shop that day. When colder ambient temperatures are experienced lightly heating the barbed fitting especially if its metal is recommended as seen in the video.
