Today's video is a PRODUCT review of the Exo Terra brand crested food.
These are single serve ready to serve meals. In my opinion they are NOT worth it, and you will see the amazing rip off towards the end of the video

Cost: The pangea comes in a powder that you must separate then mix in a container. It's not convenient. Exo terra is premade - for those people who need convenience. (Working in the pet industry - I have costumers who will not make the time to mix the dry with water.)

Geckos eating it: I have 6 out of 9 cresties that willingly eat it (for when I'm on vacation) and I have 5-6 customers who are on this only. I don't personally like it ( cost related. it's easier for me to make a big batch of Repashy - keep it in a squeeze bottle and feed 4x a week, then clean the bottle and set it aside for next time - then to open each of these and mix them (which will loosen it btw! It made all the difference for my geckos), then to pop these in.

There's something to be said about convenience - and it's the following. People do *not* like to waste time with feeding their animals ( 'Normal' 'average' pet owners). They was kibble that can sit at room temperature and not rot. They want to leave out a bowl of food and be done with it. Why measure? Why mix? Why fresh? We see it with dogs and cats all the time and it's leaking into the reptile industry slowly.

I don't 'love' this product. Like I said - it's expensive for what it is. But it's not inedible for my geckos, and it works for some people.

If you ever compare the 'techinical percentages' on the bag/box. remember that dry does NOT compare to wet. you need to remove the percentage of moisture in the food to compare on a dry matter basis. Otherwise nothing will look even remotely okay nutrition wise. (I don't think you went that deep here. If you did it was fast and I missed it)

The ones I bought the other day wasnt as solid as the ones you show and also smell different. The ones i bought smell like fruit

I bought my crested gecko yesterday and bought the exo terra food for a temporary diet while I ordered Pangea. He hasn't touched it yet. I couldn't even open the cup without having to stab the top with scissors and peel the top off. I read the ingredients and 50% is vegetables, 30% I don't even know what it is, and 20% is dried fruits. I do not recommend.

I got a crested gecko almost a month ago and she wouldnt dat anything I tried the more popular brands like pangaea and rapashy ect. she would not eat, tried live food as well as baby food(was getting desperate). All she will eat is this so i mean if she eats it that's all that matters.

My day gecko had no problems eating the "day gecko " version of this. Smells like bananas to me. I agree that is if you add water you can spread it out but that defeats the purpose of the single serving cup. Also they are 5.23$ on Walmart.com

It smells like crushed up bones?! What are you talking about? It smells slightly fruity with more of a potato or vegetable smell. Also, try adding honey or another type of crested gecko food on top of it or mixed into it, both with a little bit of water. This will greatly increase the taste of the food. I always do this to make an easy and convenient feeding diet for my crested gecko, of course with crickets for an increased amount of protein.

The geckos at my local Petsmart are forced to eat this it’s so sad :( it’s their only option

I ordered mine online and my gecko HATED it he did not even TOUCH it what a waste i use clarke gecko diet

Yeah I just offered some of this that I got in a free sample to my gecko and she legitimately threw a tantrum when It got on her nose. Mouth open, head thrashing tantrum. Not a thrilled lizard.
