Understandable completely.
I continue to train after 15 years in an art based on Wing Chun. We do not use our fists, we use palm strikes. Our defensive blocks cause pain to our opponents and put us ahead in the fight.
The block is a strike, followed by a strike.

Thank you Chu sifu. Although we train chi sau, it is seldom we are shown using tan sua as a strike inside the attackers strike. ( as practised in chi sau ) I’ve been working on this now for a while. I believe it has been extremely under utilised . It is very powerful and efficient . 🙏

This guy actually understands wing chun . In my opinion you can seamlessly meld WC with boxing, having trained both. In fact I think WC is the perfect thing to add the boxing to combine it with grappling. That's how Bruce Lee came up with jkd

Follows the principal of attack the body & not the hands. Attack & control your opponent dont just clash hands.
