I'm a Ravens fan, but after watching that Juju blind side hit on Vontaze live, I have never cheered loudly on a Steelers player in my life

I had a HS coach once say that football is not a gentleman's game, but it can be played by gentlemen. Reggie White, Mike Singletary, Troy Polamalu & Ronnie Lott all come to mind. Maniacal defenders who had self-control. Controlling and channeling your emotions is part of being an adult.

Burfict wasn't just "aggressive", he was a sadist who took clear pleasure in trying to maim people. He's a truly evil person.

It’s amazing (and scary) how many full grown “adults” have little to NO emotional discipline. A toddler stuck inside an adult human body

He doesn't even deserve to be trashed, or have this title given to him. He deserves to be completely forgotten. As if he never played in the NFL at all.

Juju is a legend for the hit on Burfict. Automatically made him one of my favorites

It’s pretty egregious how the league allowed this sort of behaviour for so long. These fines and short suspensions are just slaps on the wrists to guys like this. I’m a track and field athlete, where if people get suspended for things (like doping violations), they miss something in the realm of 4 years. That’s a real deterrent, and those doping violations aren’t putting someone’s entire life at risk like Burfict’s play was. I think by the time he’s getting his third fine, players like this should be under review to be suspended for an entire season. After that, 2-4 years, and after that, permanent bans. Even then, he still has less to lose than the guys he’s taking shots at.

As a Steelers fan nothing made me happier than when juju demolished that piece of dirt

Vontez hit brown so hard that it changed the man's personality permanently. That hit against Antonio brown changed him so dramatically, the person who existed before the hit was gone. This man was dirty af.

I know Vontaze had a rough childhood, but that’s no excuse for how he acted on the field. Him getting hit by Juju and nobody signing him in free agency is karmic justice and exactly what he deserves.

As a Bengals fan this guy broke my heart. He didn’t need to be a dirty player, he was a great football player. His instincts and ability to get the defense into the right play presnap made him an impact player. But he was a dirty, dirty player and it was that more than injures in my opinion that ended his career. His rep was so bad that refs would just state him down and wait for him to do something stupid (and he always did).

Glad to hear his Mom turned it around and got a good job. Before anyone wants to make any wisecracks, driving a bus is a good job and you can make a comfortable living doing it. My uncle did it until his dying day...at least he went doing something he loved.

I watched that hit on Antonio Brown during the 2015 playoffs live as it happened. I totally thought he broke AB's neck and wondered if his life wasn't going to be in trouble, or maybe if he was going to face paralysis. That was pretty scary.

Football isn't a game for wimps. Play hard. That's fine. But what VB did throughout his career wasn't playing hard. He was flat dirty and malicious. I really wish the Bengals and the NFL had done more to keep him off the field since obviously the small fines and suspensions were not getting his attention.

Damn, Burfict should have played on that Saints bounty team he would have made a killing.

He basically played for free with all the fines had to pay. If he had pulled out a shank and stabbed somebody during a game it honestly would not of surprised me. It's almost as if he truly loved physically injuring people more than the game of football.

I'm glad he's not in the league anymore, but someone THIS aggressive can't possibly fit into the larger society. I worry for what he does out in the world without football.

Steelers fan.... I seen the Antonio Brown hit live and I honestly thought AB was dead.... this guy isn't just a dirty player he was out there trying to hurt people for so glad juju got him back and he more than deserved it.

At ASU it was so frustrating. He would almost single-handedly shut down an opponent, then on 3rd and long, he'd have a stupid personal foul, give them a first down and an extra 15 yards, and the Sundevils would lose. I was so happy when he went to the pros early, so he could be someone else's problem.

This man killed possibly the brightest star in the WR position we'd seen in decades with Antonio Brown and left us with this tragic mess of AB

It’s funny that Juju mentioned drinks in bars. I actually bought him one when I saw him out in Nashville earlier this year and told him it was for the hit on Burfict.

Juju gave Burfict what pro wrestlers call a "receipt".
