That Asian dude (butler) is my moms uncle! He's now a engineer. He's In California now around 80 years old. He also was in Kung Fu and a bunch of other movies.

Lucy sounds great. She's on pitch with no autotune. Such an underrated movie.

I never knew about Angela Lanbury or Auntie Mame with Rosalind Russel/when i was 13 I had this beautiful opportunity to see this movie in my small town of 3, 500 people/i was taunted and picked on all through my childhood/This movie released so many of my anxieties and showed me there was a better life for myself/i bought the Mame soundtrack and i was in heaven! I understood that I was not alone in my quest for a better life which i have achieved/i know that many people have condemned Lucille Ball for her interpretation of Auntie Mame, however she was my inspiration to understanding my life/as a gay man it was hard to any to know what i was feeling, Lucille Ball will be and always will be an inspiration to me no matter what others say about her performance!

No one sang well in this song. It's a comedy movie and a comedy song. It's talking to music. It's not about the singing, it's about the characters. She was an amazing legendary performer with multiple talents: she was a fantastic dancer, comedienne, physical comic, actress. She carried the tune well enough for the purposes of the scene. She always makes me laugh to this day. Just love her!

I actually like Lucy a lot here. She knows her limitations and sticks to them. She's an all-time great actress who brings almost everything you'd want to the part and she really fits well in the ensemble. Plus she's on pitch! She does a great job.

When the movie came out, I was 8; I bought the soundtrack and it was the first record I bought with my own money. While Angela Lansbury would have been amazing in this role, I love this movie and soundtrack. She was not a singer, but a one of a kind actor and comedian.

No need for everyone to be nasty! Lucille herself said she couldn't sing, but she loved to sing. Imho, I think she sounds wonderful💗

I totally hear the shortness of breath and possibly emphysema. Smoking takes a toll, I speak from experience.

I love an actor or actress, not known for singing, SINGING. Brave, and Cruel. She was brave and the reviews were cruel. Lucille Ball is extraordinary in this number. Love it to death.

I usually like the singing better than this when it's done by a group of singers at Christmas, but here is the thing. In the original scene from the movie, it wasn't even Christmas and that was the whole point. (Although you could definitely also use this when you're not feeling very Christmasy at Christmastime.)
I always remember this scene whenever I hear anyone sing this song.
I think that Lucille Ball could sing reasonably well but her singing was just not to everyone's taste. I myself really prefer her acting to her singing, but even so I know that I will always remember her every time I hear this song. ^____^
She truly was one of the comedy geniuses of all time. Bravo, Lucille. ^___^

I remember thinking when this came out Wow Lucy made a choice to be a comedian but she could act and pull at my heartstrings. I think in this 2020 world we need a little christmas love.

I think she sounds more like Auntie Mame here for some reason. (this song)
Go Auntie Mame (any and every version). 🤶🎅🤶
Go Lucille Ball. ☺️
