Okay so according to the FNAF lore it is said that when they were opening up the FNAF 1 pizzeria then they were just throwing together the animatronics with every leftover piece that they had except foxy never got fully repaired so that's why he's all withered at least according to the lore what actually is is because Scott was on a bumpy 6 hour car ride while designing foxy but since the car ride was super bumpy then it caused him to make mistakes in foxy causing him to be withered and I'm pretty sure by the time you got back home it was the release date and I'm pretty sure he didn't want to delay it so we just launched it as foxy's pirate's cove was out of order

Correction: Foxy on FNAF 1 isn't withered, but its just his design, while scott was on a road trip, he was designing Foxy while he was away, but it began to be a bumpy road trip when he was modelling Foxy, and that was how Foxy became withered in FNAF. And btw, theres more fan creations of Foxy fixed from FNAF 1
